This long-awaited sequel to the classic action film Top Gun will be released on May 27th, 2022.

One noticeable change is the addition of Jennifer Connelly, who will be taking over the lead role instead of 80s bombshell Kelly McGuinness.

The son of Maverick’s departed best friend will also be in the movie, and while it’s been a long time since the original, we all know Top Gun won’t disappoint!

Doctor Strange: In The Multiverse Of Madness

The second Doctor Strange movie is set to be released on May 5th 2022, and it looks like it will be epic. This time, Stephen Strange will be teaming up with the Scarlet Witch to fight evil in the multiverse.

Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen are returning for the film, which is sure to please fans of the first movie.

If you’re looking for a mind-bending adventure this month, Doctor Strange: In The Multiverse Of Madness is your movie!

Downton Abbey: A New Era

The new Downton Abbey will be released towards the end of April but will show throughout May. What can we say about Downton? It’s fun, family-oriented, and takes us back to a simpler time.

Fans worldwide will await the latest movie release, and there are bound to be some spectacular surprises – as you’d expect from the producers! Better still, Maggie Smith will return to the screen in her titular role as the Crawley family matriarch.

As the pandemic disrupted the December 2021 release, Downton was also part of the enormous backlog, but we’ll all get to go back to our favourite on-screen family in just a few weeks.

Memory

Memory is also a late April release, starring everyone’s favourite action man, Liam Neeson.

The story follows Neeson as an assassin who fails to live up to the code. He must eliminate the people that hired him and avoid the FBI in this nail-biting thriller. Alex Lewis (Neeson) has to decide between right and wrong with a failing memory.

It promises to be a heart-wrenching experience, and with director Martin Campbell at the helm, it’s sure to be a box office success.

So if you’re looking for an emotional rollercoaster ride next month, Memory is the movie for you!

Firestarter

The 80s classic is about to get a modern makeover, and it’s coming to your screen on Friday, May 13th. This time, it’s Ryan Kiera Armstrong who will be playing the role of Charlie McGee – a young girl with pyrokinetic powers.

The movie takes place in a world where unique gifts are highly sought after, and the government tries to control people by using their talents for evil purposes.

It’s up to Charlie and her parents to protect themselves and ensure the young girl doesn’t become a weapon of mass destruction.

Captors

Captors involves the terrifyingly realistic story of a woman who became the victim of human trafficking.

While she manages to escape and rebuild her life, Alys moves to a remote cabin ten years later, left to her by a relative.

It isn’t long before she begins to have hallucinations and must face the demons of her past.

The Bob’s Burgers Movie

If you’re a fan of the Bob’s Burgers TV series, get ready for the movie on May 22nd. The Belchers will be taking on a new challenge – stopping the burger shop from going under.

A massive sinkhole proves to be an exciting adventure for fans of the much-loved show, and the all-star cast of Kristen Schaal, Dan Mintz and H. Jon Benjamin return.

The movie will be just as hilarious as the show, and it’s sure to be a hit. So if you’re in the mood for some laughs next month, check out The Bob’s Burgers Movie!

Men

This one’s for the horror fans! Men is going to get your heart pumping, and Jessie Buckley takes the starring role of Harper, a woman trying to get over the death of her husband.

She decides to go to the British countryside and recover, but all is not as peaceful as it seems. A person or unknown entity seems to be following her, and the place of dreams soon becomes an endless nightmare.

If you love a good horror movie, then Men certainly won’t disappoint!

None Of These Take Your Fancy?

If none of these movies takes your fancy, don’t forget about June! Some awe-inspiring films are coming out, including the long-awaited Jurassic World: Dominion, starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard.

To make things even more interesting, OG stars Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum are making their return! Who wouldn’t want to see this blockbuster?

Lightyear will also be hitting the big screen, and this time both Tom Hanks and Tim Allen aren’t appearing. Instead, Chris Evans will voice Buzz Lightyear, and the story will focus on the early years.

As the last Toy Story movie saw Woody split from the group, this will be interesting, and the legendary James Brolin will voice Buzz Lightyear’s arch enemy Zurg.
