Obtaining permission to film in Belgium is usually fairly straightforward. Most major urban areas have their own film office, and they’ll handle permits and permissions. Belgium has a thriving TV and movie industry, and they’re generally welcoming to anyone who wants to film. If you have cast and crew from the EEA – European Economic Area, then they most likely won’t need a work visa. Visitors from other countries shouldn’t need a work permit if the shoot is under 21 days, but they will need to declare their activities.
